The Grammy Awards have once again added more categories with a Best Rap Song (award going to the songwriter) while the Best World Music Album has been broken into two categories: Best Traditional World Music Album and Best Contemporary World Music Album. However, The Grammy Awards have also consolidated the categories for Best Salsa Album and Best Merengue Album into Best Salsa/Merengue Album since there were too few merengue album entries to warrant its own category. There are now 105 categories at the Grammy Awards.
