Green Day Announces North American Tour Dates


LOS ANGELES, CA (CelebrityAccess) — Punk poppers Green Day announced the dates for the North American segment of their upcoming Revolution Radio summer tour.

The tour kicks off on August 1st in Auburn, WA and will hit amphitheaters, stadiums, and arenas across the country before wrapping up at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California on Sept. 13.

As part of the run, the band will also perform for the first time at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

The band is touring in support of their twelfth studio album, Revolution Radio, which was released on Oct. 7th on Reprise Records. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and bowed with #1 spots in Ireland, the UK, Italy and New Zealand as well. As of 5th January 2017, the album has sold 175,000 copies, Billboard reported.

Following the announcement of the tour, Green Day's reps were forced to reschedule a pair of dates in Texas, citing a conflict of interest.
