Huka Entertainment Announces Key Executive Appointments


NEW ORLEANS, LA (CelebrityAccess) – Coming off of Tortuga Music Festival last weekend, Huka Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Evan Harrison announced a number of key executive appointments at the company.


Brent Silberstein – a 30-year concert production veteran, has been named Chief Production Officer.
Dave Fortune – who has been promoting concerts since his high school days, has been named Huka's Vice President of Touring.
Bennett Drago – Co-Founded Huka Entertainment with A.J. Niland will continue in his role as Partner, overseeing all aspects of the company's administrative operations.
A.J. Niland who is Chairman and Chief Experience Officer of Huka, will continue to focus on the overall vision of the company as well as creating the one-of-a-kind festival experiences for music fans around the world that Huka is known for.


Huka Entertainment is an independent creator and producer of large scale destination-location music festivals, including the Pemberton Music Festival situated at the base of Mt. Currie in British Columbia, which is scheduled for July 14-17. The company produces the Tortuga Music Festival on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and co-produces Buku Music + Arts Project in New Orleans located on the banks of the Mississippi river. With exclusive and non-exclusive booking agreements with nearly 50 music venues across the country, Huka has a growing touring division which promotes hundreds of concerts across North America. Earlier this month Huka announced an exclusive booking agreement with the 6,500-seat Centre of Tallahassee, which further solidifies the company's strong venue portfolio across the southeast. Additional venue announcements are expected to be unveiled by Huka Entertainment in the coming months.


Brent Silberstein began his career in the hugely successful Texas-based concert company PACE Entertainment, which eventually became part of Live Nation. In addition to a lengthy resume of venue production positions, Mr. Silberstein has worked closely with such touring artists as *Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac and Kiss. He also established and continues to oversee Warehouse Live, a multi-venue complex in Houston, TX, with an overall capacity of 1,750. In his new position, Mr. Silberstein will play an integral role in the production and operations of Huka's marquee festivals.


Dave Fortune has worked in the live music sector for more than 30 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Production for Live Nation Canada, where he oversaw more than 1,800 shows annually. His leadership resulted 10 consecutive years of growth for the concert business giant.


Huka Entertainment announced several appointments to Mr. Fortune's team:


Dan Merker, Senior Talent Buyer Dan has played an integral role in booking talent for the company's hugely successful Tortuga Music Festival.


Todd Coder, Talent Buyer – With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Todd has a deep expertise in the Southeastern region of the U.S. He is also a key member of the Pemberton Music Festival booking team.
