Ienner, Anthony Out At Sony BMG

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — According to an internal memo from Sony BMG Music Entertainment CEO Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, Sony Music Label Group President and CEO Don Ienner and COO Michele Anthony have decided to resign their respective posts.

In the memo, according to FMBQ, Schmidt-Holtz comments, “Donnie and Michele have been the bedrock upon which Sony Music’s success has been built over the last 18 years and we are very appreciative of their important contributions during this period.”

Rob Stringer has been appointed to replace Ienner as President, effective September 1, 2006.

“I am delighted that Rob has agreed to join us in New York,” said Schmidt-Holtz. “Rob has been with Sony Music throughout his 20-year career and now is the perfect time for him to take on this senior role.”

Sony BMG COO Tim Bowen will serve as interim head of the label in the mean time. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
