LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Jeff Kwatinetz is relaunching his former management company The Firm almost seven years after the company wound up following his exit as CEO.
According to Deadline, Kwatinetz will fold the management operation of his current company, Prospect Park, which he launched with ex-Walt Disney Studios president Richard Frank, into the The Firm. Current televsion projects will remain under the Prospect Park banner, but new projects will be part of The Firm.
The firm's client roster includes Ice Cube, who will align his own production company Cubevision with The Firm. Other clients on The Firm's roster include: Dead Sara, Five Knives and P.O.D.
In addition to Kwatinetz, The Firm’s executive suite includes General Manager Jeremy Summers, formerly EVP/Chief Marketing Officer of Interscope/Geffen/A&M and Angelica Cob-Baehler, who was EVP at EMI and Epic Records.
“In the years since we shuttered The Firm, the industry has consolidated to the point where it’s hard to find a top management company that isn’t a division of a larger entertainment conglomerate,” Kwatinetz said. “This consolidation has created an industry rife with conflicts of interest, where the artist often loses. The Firm solves that problem by making creative success the top priority.” – Staff Writers
