SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CelebrityAccess) — AEG Facilities has named industry veteran Jose M. “Jochi” Davila Carlos as Vice President Partnership Sales and Entertainment at District Live! in Puerto Rico.
In the newly created position, Dávila will report to Bob Newman, President, AEG Facilities and have oversight of sales, and corporate sponsorships at both District Live! and the Puerto Rico Convention Center. He will also be tasked with booking and producing events District Live!
AEG took over operations at under-development District Live! in July. When completed, the complex will include an eight-screen premium movie theater, a 170-room hotel with 6,000 square feet of meeting space, a 44,000-square foot Plaza with the Caribbean’s largest LED screen and outdoor presentation stages designed for art festivals, fashion shows, music performances and other special events.
District Live! will also offer a variety of food and beverage establishments, an 18,000 square foot “day and night” disco, television, and radio broadcast studios overlooking the Plaza, a zip line attraction and a 500-seat nightclub designed for smaller music performances.
Anchoring the district will be a 6, 000-seat / 105,000 square foot concert and entertainment facility that will host a variety of events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events. The facility is on track to be opened in early 2019. – Staff Writers
