PORTLAND, OR (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Mike Thrasher has launched Cascade Tickets today, the Northwest's newest ticketing service.
Cascade Tickets will begin servicing ticketing for all McMenamins venues today with pricing eliminating "per-order" fees, as well as any fees for the convenience of printing at home.
Music fans have voiced complaints in regards to excessive fees following the U.S. Department of Justice's approval of Live Nation and Ticketmaster's merger, a move that gave unprecedented power over the concert industry to one megacorporation. Seeking to make changes in the industry and respond to complaints, Cascade Tickets is offering fans the ability to buy tickets through a local, independently-owned network of businesses.
Tickets are available by mail, will-call, and print-at-home options. They are also available through McMenamins Crystal Ballroom Box Office, McMenamins Bagdad Theatre, and the McMenamins Edgefield Gift Shop.
Cascade Tickets is based in Portland, OR and owned and operated by Mike Thrasher. Mike has been promoting concerts on the West Coast since 1995 through his company, Mike Thrasher Presents.
McMenamins events previously on sale through Ticketmaster will remain so exclusively.
