Stephen McKay, executive director of the Little Theatre of Manchester/Cheney Hall, has resigned his position, effective this month, to become executive director of SummerWind, a new 6,000-capacity performing arts venue in Windsor, Conn. Dr Andrew Aavatsmark, Cheney Hall’s grants and development coordinator, will take McKay's place as acting executive director.
McKay became executive director in April 2000. During his tenure, the Little Theatre has grown, and Cheney Hall has gained wider recognition as an important center for the performing arts in the Greater Hartford area.
The Little Theatre of Manchester is a nonprofit arts organization that produces plays, concerts, poetry readings and a summer youth program, at historic Cheney Hall, Connecticut’s oldest operating theatre.
