IRVING, Texas (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation announced that it intends to open a new, state-of-the-art multi-format venue in Irving, Texas.
Dubbed The Pavilion at The Music Factory, the venue will be convertible, switching from an indoor theater with a capacity of 4,000 to an amphitheater with a capacity of 8,000 for fair weather concerts.
Slated to open in 2016, the new venue will be a part of the entertainment complex already in the works to house the Alamo Drafthouse, and a bowling alley, along with restaurants and shopping.
While Live Nation has teamed up with real estate developer ARK Group on the $40 million dollar project, they will be exclusively booking the new venue.
“Live Nation had been looking for an opportunity to expand our venue footprint” in North Texas, said Bob Roux, co-president of North American Concerts told the Dallas Morning News. – Staff Writers
