DOHA, QATAR (CelebrityAccess) — ELAN Live Nation, a joint venture between Live Nation and Qatar-based entertainment company ELAN Group, has been selected by the Qatar Ministry of Culture and Sports to operate two major sports venues in the emirate.
The joint venture will operate the Lusail Multipurpose Arena in Lusail, and Ali Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah Multipurpose Arena in Al Sadd, both recently built to host the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship. The joint venture will provide management, promotional, managerial, and facility maintenance support services for both venues, with an eye towards bringing international entertainment to Qatar.
The Lusail and Al Sadd arenas cover a total combined surface of over 432,000sqm, including 65,000sqm of arena space. Both are equipped with state of the art audio-visual and cooling technologies, and together they can host over 23,000 spectators between regular, VIP, and VVIP areas, in case regular VIP isn't enough.
ELAN Group currently produces a list of events in the region that includes the Qatar Motor Show, Doha Jewelry & Watches Exhibition, and Cityscape Qatar
