SOUTH BEND, Ind. (CelebrityAccess) — The Century Center Convention Center's Board of Managers has moved to renew their contract with SMG and Savor, SMG’s culinary services division, for continued management of the Century Center in downtown South Bend.
The three-year renewal will begins January 1, 2017 and concludes December 31, 2019. SMG will continue to provide full management and operational services for the convention center.
SMG first came aboard at Century Center in July, 2013, and has since hosted more than 1,500 events at the facility.
Noteworthy recent events include hosting three Presidential candidates – Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz – within five days of each other, the South Bend Jazz Festival, Northern Indiana Bodybuilding Championships and Press Ganey Associates, Inc.
Significant upcoming events include the International Association of Water Rescue Professionals this fall, Small Market Meetings in 2017, and the IFCA International Convention in 2018.
