AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Race track Circuit of The Americas has signed a deal that will see Live Nation handling the booking for an under-construction venue in Austin, The Tower Amphitheater.
The 15,000 capacity, open-air amphitheater will be located at the base of a 251-foot observation tower located at the track and is scheduled for an opening in early 2013, prior to the start of the spring-summer amphitheater season. The new venue will be the largest open-air performance facility in Austin.
Live Nation will schedule and produce major, national touring events at The Tower Amphitheater serving the Central Texas community and Bob Roux, Co-President of North America Concerts for Live Nation said that the company already had some artists on hold for the shed.
"The Tower Amphitheater is going to provide artists and their fans a truly amazing backdrop for live performances," said Bob Roux. "Austin’s legacy will always be its support for live music, and it’s this city’s world-renowned enthusiasm for concerts that sets the bar for the rest of the country. We are extremely proud and truly honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this incredible venue." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
