After weeks of industry buzz, veteran promoter Louis Messina has left Clear Channel Entertainment, effective this past August 31. A co-founder of Houston-based PACE Concerts in 1975, the company was sold to SFX in 1998 for $240.7 million which included Pavilion Partners.
Messina's departure comes two weeks after Jack Boyle stepped down as chairman of the music division.
Although Messina has a one-year non-compete clause, industry sources say he'll be back.
