NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — New York-based MSG Entertainment has expanded their executive team as the reposition themselves to compete on a national level.
MSGE exec Melissa Ormond has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and will oversee all areas of operation under the MSG aegis, including booking and production. She had previously been MSGE's VP of booking.
Andrea Greenberg has been appointed to the role of executive VP. She comes to MSGE from their parent corporation Cablevision and her new portfolio will include business development and strategic planning
Don Simpson has been named as Senior VP of business development and will oversee the acquisition and planning of new venues as well as handling special events such as the festival MSGE is working on in upstate New York. According to Billboard, before coming to MSGE, Simpson was the president of HOB Concerts in Canada.
Bob Shea, formerly SVP of booking in Live Nation's Southern California operation will serve as a senior VP of regional booking and special projects at MSGE. Shea will oversee booking for all concerts, family attractions and touring theatricals outside of New York. Shea will also be responsible for developing new, non-touring musical projects for MSG venues.
Lee Weinberg has been tapped to be MSGE's new Senior VP of business and strategic planning. His portfolio will be focused on assessing strategic goals ande developing metrics to evaluate success. He comes to MSGE from the Wall Street Journal where he served as VP of strategy for operations and sales. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
