The third annual Nashville New Music Conference, 2NMC, is set for September 10-13 at the Doubletree Hotel Nashville. Highlights include: panel discussions, mentor sessions, keynote speakers, clinics, music industry career day, the 2NMC trade show (open to the public), networking parties and a studio tour of Nashville.
Evening events, held Thursday through Saturday, will be at Nashville music venues, and will feature artist showcases featuring a wide variety genres including: Rock, Pop, Urban, Singer-Songwriter, Christian, Americana, Country and more.
“Both Nashville and the independent music community in general have been incredibly supportive of 2NMC”, said Conference Promotions Director and Cofounder, David Hooper. “Last year, we had an increase in attendance of almost 75% over our first event, and we've taken that into account when planning for 2003. As with last year’s conference, our aim is to empower independent musicians…to provide the knowledge and resources necessary to succeed whether you want to do things on your own or catch the eye of a major label.”
2NMC offers independent music artists of all genres an opportunity to perform, network and learn in a professional environment designed to encourage them in their pursuit of a successful career in the music industry. The conference attracts a mixture of established independent musicians, emerging acts, and established national artists with new material.
Artists interested in showcasing at the event can submit an application and sample of their music for consideration by 2NMC's listening committee of music industry professionals.
