New Danish Festival Announced

ODENSE, Denmark (CelebrityAccess) — A pair of well-known Danish promoters have announced plans to stage a new festival in Denmark, with expectations that the event will draw 25,000 fans next summer.

Set for the weekend of June 26th, 2015 in Tusindårsskoven in Odense, the Tinderbox Festival is being promoted by Danish promoters Brian Nielsen and Mads Sørensen.

As of yet, no artist lineup has been announced, but the event's organizers say they have a music budget of around € 5.4 million.

The festival is organized in cooperation between the municipality of Odense, the people behind Nortshide, booking company Beatbox and the German event agency FKP Scorpio. Like Northside, there is no camping area associated with the festival, but Odense Municipality says they are ready to accommodate festival-goers at hotels in the town.

“The ambition is for the festival to be of such a high quality and with such an attractive program and set-up that it within a few years can be one of the country’s largest and can help to brand Odense as a big city with a very strong cultural offerings,” the city’s mayor, Anker Boye, said in a statement. – Staff Writers
