INDIO, CA (CelebrityAccess) — The Empire Polo Club, traditional home turf of the Stagecoach and Coachella music festivals, will serve as a home to a new fest this fall.
The Las Vegas Desert Sun is reporting that Empire Music Ventures, a company led by the son of the owner of the Empire Polo Club, will stage the Desert Oasis Music Festival on the property on Oct. 7 & 8.
“Desert Oasis Music Festival is not genre specific,” festival producer Alex Haagen IV told the Desert Sun. “We do have a solid reggae lineup in our inaugural year, but we want to keep the festival’s lineup diversified with other types of music.”
Haagen told the newspaper that he expects to draw about 10,000 for the Desert Oasis Music Festival, which is being held in on the same weekend that Goldenvoice's "Desert Trip" festival occupied last year.
So far, artists teased for the fest include Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Rebelution as headliners, along with J-Boog, Los Lobos, Reel Big Fish, Warren G, Janelle Phillips, Mozaiq and Spankshaft. – Staff Writers
