Carson Daly, host of MTV's TRL, and Steve Rifkind, CEO of Loud Records, have formed a new label to develop new talent of all genres. The still-to-be-named label will be distributed by Loud Records.
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to run my own label," Daly said. "I'm always looking for new sounds, and my label will allow me to share some of the hottest up-and-coming talent with the world."
"With Carson's worldwide popularity and his genuine love and knowledge of music, this venture should definitely be a
blockbuster," Rifkind added. "We're betting that he'll be able to attract the best talent from across the globe, from rock to hip-hop."
Daly's New York-based imprint is actively scouting for new talent, and has several artists currently in the studio recording demos.
