WILLMINGTON, (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On January 25th, the board of trustees business affairs committee at University of North Carolina Wilmington decided to close the books on the prospects for building a new concert hall at the UNCW Campus.
The hall had been under consideration, but it was decided that fund raising and parking issues could not be resolved.
"There's too many unknown costs and too many known costs for the university to move forward with it at this point in time," said Mark Lanier, UNCW's assistant to the chancellor told the Star-News.
The hall under consideration would have included seating for up to 1,500 people, half again as large as the current campus facility, Kenan Auditorium. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
