CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — Now that the 2014 edition of the North Coast Music Festival is in the can, organizers for the event have released a recap of how this year's event shook out.
According to festival organizers, the festival managed to sell out on both Saturday and Sunday, with 58,000 people in attendance over the course of the weekend. The attendance figures were helped by the expansion of the festival that took place this year.
Originally launched in 2010, the festival focuses on emerging artists from the worlds of hip-hop, indie, jam bands, and dance music.
"We're humbled by the support here in our fifth year anniversary," says Pat Grumley, one of the founders of the festival. Adds Michael Berg, "When we first conceptualized this festival, we had no way to knowing it would be so warmly received by the city of Chicago, the artists and their respective teams like it has… but far and away the most rewarding and inspiring thing to our team is the support of our fans, who we call 'the coasties!'" – Staff Writers
