NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Jazz drummer, bandleader and composer T.S. Monk, son of the late and legendary Thelonious Monk, as signed with Universal Attractions for representation.
T.S. Monk has been creating music since the early 1980s with the release of his band's debut album "House of Music" in 1980. On his own, Monk would later go on to a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums, including his award-winning 1997 effort "Monk On Monk."
T.S. Monk also founded the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz to honor his late father. The Institute works to foster music education in a variety of ways, including financing scholarships and underwriting after school music programs.
T.S. Monk currently tours with a sextet or a 10-piece to perform Monk on Monk. His current confirmed itinerary is listed below.
