Pinkerton Academy to Partner with Meadowbrook on Stockbridge Theatre Productions

Mary Anderson, Pinkerton Academy Headmaster, announced this past week a new partnership with Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center of Gilford, NH to bring a variety of shows to the on campus Stockbridge Theatre. A developing plan calls for several concerts to be presented by Meadowbrook this spring and a more complete series of shows to be in place by the fall. “We are impressed by the talent that Meadowbrook will present at Pinkerton. I hope that members of the community take advantage of the facility to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment opportunities in the near future,” said Mary Anderson.

Pinkerton Academy’s Arts and Humanities Center, which houses the 881-seat Stockbridge Theatre, was completed in 2002. The theatre is outfitted with all of the state-of-the art technology that is necessary for professional theatrical production today. The Stockbridge Theatre places a premium on audience comfort. The view of the stage is fantastic from every seat.

After the announcement of this partnership, Meadowbrook unveiled the first two concerts that will be presented in the upcoming months. The first shows include, “Ben Vereen in Concert” on Sunday, April 10th and “An Evening with The Lettermen” on Sunday, May 1st. Additional shows for the Spring and early summer are being planned at this time. Bob Harding, President and CEO of Meadowbrook commented, “Pinkerton’s Stockbridge Theatre is one of the finest performing arts complexes in the state. It provides a fitting venue for today’s wide variety of entertainment opportunities.”

RJ Harding, General Manager of Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center stated, “We will bring all of the experience that we have gained in the 9 years of operating our outdoor concert venue in the Lakes Region, as well as promoting concerts at other indoor facilities throughout New England, to this new and beautiful theatre. Our spring performances will be just a sample of a developing year round series.”
