Promoter Arrested Over Allegedly Fake Sheryl Crow Show

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ (CelebrityAccess) — A 42 year old Burlington County New Jersey woman has been jailed on charges that she sold tickets and vendor space for a Sheryl Crow concert but neglected to actually book Crow to perform.

According to the South Jersey Times, Lumberton and Medford township police said they became aware of a concert in the works for later this summer at the Flying W airport that was to feature Sheryl Crow as a headliner.

Due to the apparent size of the event, police contacted the airport to start planning out safety for the event but became suspicious about the validity of the concert and through the course of their investigation, learned that Crow had reportedly not been booked for the show.

Promoter Kelly Bryan was arrested on Saturday and charged with theft by deception and deceptive business practice and remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.

Police told the South Jersey Times that vendors had bought space for the show and the promoter had started selling tickets to the event.

On Saturday, the concert promoter, Kelly Bryan, 42, was arrested and charged with theft by deception and deceptive business practice, according to police. She reportedly admitted to promoting and selling tickets to the concert knowing that Sheryl Crow would not be performing, police said. – Staff Writers
