LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — After two years of partnership, Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports has ended their tie-up with CAA sports.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two parties claim that the split was planned and made on good terms.
"Roc Nation Sports and CAA Sports are two of the premier agencies and they will continue their high levels of client service to the world's top athletes," the two agencies said in a joint statement. "They have enjoyed their time as partners and have achieved many successes together. Going forward, they will each focus their efforts on their own business opportunities and clientele."
Roc Nation first announced their venture into sports representation and their partnership with CAA in April, 2013 with the signing of MLB All-Star Robinson Cano and since then, they have signed numerous other athletes, including NBA star Kevin Durant and boxer Dusty Hernandez Harrison.
A reason for the split, or how the two agencies will handle co-represented clients, such as the aforementioned Dez Bryant, was not disclosed. – Staff Writers
