SINGFest Goes Digital Via UMG


SINGAPORE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for SINGfest, Singapore's largest music festival have pacted with digital content company, All the Worlds as a new sponsor for the event. AMT is owned in part by Universal Music Group.

"This is not just a great opportunity for Midas but also for Singapore to gain recognition as the first Asian music hub outside of Japan, attracting music lovers from all over Asia," says Michael Hosking, CEO of festival organizer Midas Promotions.

The deal with ATW, a Universal Music Company, will broadcasts from the festival to be streamed over the Internet to mobile handsets and network provider partners. Festival organizers will also record artists interviews and "lifestyle" pieces about Singapore to help raise the city's international profile.

The event, set to take place from August 2-3rd at Singapore's 10,000 capacity Fort Canning Park and will feature a strong international lineup including: ussycat Dolls, One Republic, Panic at the Disco, Travis, New Found Glory, Jason Mraz, Simple Plan, Jamie Scott and the Town and Lost Prophets. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
