SMG Names Vecchione GM At Nova Southeastern University

PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SMG has named Tony Vecchione as GM of the new University Center Arena at Nova Southern University in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida.

SMG was recently awarded the contract for management of the new center, which includes a 5,500-seat arena, a state-of-the-art Wellness and Fitness Center, Student Union, and Center for the Visual and Performing Arts; all scheduled to open later this month.

“The University Center is a remarkable new multi-purpose facility that will serve as an important venue for major speakers, academic events and entertainers in South Florida,” Bob McClintock, SMG Regional VP said in a statement. “We were delighted to find someone of Tony’s background and experience to manage this major college venue. He will provide the leadership and expertise required to make this facility a centerpiece for the entire community.”
