LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rapper Snoop Dogg and five associates have been arrested after a fracas at Heathrow Airport that resulted in minor injuries to seven police officers.
The Press Association news agency reported that members of the rapper's entourage threw bottles of whiskey and argued with staff at a duty free shop after being refused entry to a first-class lounge.
London's Metropolitan Police says officers were called to Terminal 1 at 6pm last night after reports of a disturbance involving 30 people in a business lounge.
Members of Snoop Dogg’s posse had allegedly hurled bottles of whisky and argued with staff at a duty free shop after being refused entry to the first-class lounge of British Airways.
When police told the group they would not be allowed to board their flight, "a number of the group's entourage became abusive and pushed officers," a spokeswoman said.
One of Snoop’s bodyguards was reported to have "gone berserk" and attacked six officers.
Snoop and the five men were arrested on charges of violent disorder and affray and spent the night at two west London police stations.
Police did not name the men, but said all were U.S. citizens in their 30s.
Snoop Dogg had been due to perform in Johannesburg, South Africa, today, but that obviously will not happen.
