(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has entered into an agreement with Anaheim Arena Management, the management company for the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, for an exclusive booking arrangement for the Theatre at the Pond.
Live Nation has already set up two performances under the agreement: a sold-out performance by the Strokes held on March 25th, and Rob Thomas and Jewel, scheduled for July 1.
The Theatre is a 7,000-seat configuration within the 19,400-capacity Arrowhead Pond arena, set up by a curtain system behind the stage, five Shonbek “Empire” crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, grey carpet on the floor and heavy black velour draped over the dasherboards. Since it’s inception in 2001, the Theatre has hosted shows by the likes of Maroon 5, David Bowie and Tori Amos.
The Arrowhead Pond, in its full arena set-up, will continue to work with all top promoters, including Live Nation, House of Blues, and AEG. The arena was ranked third in the world for grosses in 2005, according to CelebrityAccess/Billboard box office scores. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
