LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — British girl group The Spice Girls may finally be reuniting for the first time in almost a decade for their long rumored 20th Anniversary tour. Sort of reuniting anyway.
We say sort of as the former quintet will be short both Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice and Melanie Chisholm AKA Sporty Spice. Without their comrades participating, the group is changing their name to GEM.
Beckham declined to participate earlier this year, citing family and work obligations, while Chisholm took a pass, The Love Magazine that a reunion was an all or nothing deal for her.
“Truth be told, earlier this year after several face-to-face meetings with the girls I made the difficult decision not to be part of a proposed reunion with Emma, Geri and Melanie. Victoria had already bowed out understandably with the demands of her fashion label and her rather large family,” Mel C told the Sunday Times.
While no dates have been announced for the outing, GEM has released a tease video.
