(Hypebot) – The leaked contract between Sony Music and Spotify has caused ripples throughout the industry. The complex deal has drawn criticism from artists, managers and others who question the deal's fairness and how much revenue is actually trickling down to creators.
Sony Music used the threat of legal action to force The Verge, who originally broke the story, to pull down a contract between the music group and Spotify.
Sony sent the online news site four different cease and desist orders claiming copyright infringement, according to Verge editor Nilay Patel.
