Sony/ATV Promotes Tyler Childs And Lou Al-Chamaa To Senior Roles


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Sony/ATV Music Publishing has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of Tyler Childs to Vice President, Creative and Lou Al-Chamaa to Senior Director, Creative. Both will be based out of the company's Los Angeles digs.

Child joined Sony/ATV in 2012 as s Creative Director and has since signed Grammy and BRIT Awards nominee and Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize winner James Blake whose third hit album The Colour In Anything was released in May and who also co-wrote and produced songs on No. 1 albums this year by Beyonce (Lemonade) and Frank Ocean (Blonde). His other signings include Canadian pop duo Sara & Tegan and rap star Vic Mensa who earned a guest spot on Kanye West’s hit single “Wolves”.

Childs is also the founder of management company Quality CTRL whose roster includes songwriter, artist and producer Jack Antonoff who co-wrote and produced three songs on Taylor Swift’s Grammy Album of the Year 1989, Bleachers, Banks & Steelz, RZA, Moses Sumney and Sam Dew.

Al-Chamaa joined the Sony/ATV team in 2014 and has since worked with talent including Mike Posner (I took a pill in Ibiza) and Brett McLaughlin who co-wrote Troye Sivan’s RIAA-certified platinum single “Youth.”

Al-Chamaa's signings at Sony-ATV include Australian singer-songwriter Ben Abraham who penned hits for Sara Bareilles, Kesha and Shawn Mendes and Cara Salimando, who currently writes for Grace, Wiz Khalifa, and Wallpaper.
