LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Soulja Boy has been arrested on suspicion of violation of the terms of his probation.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was arrested on Thursday morning after police officers found a firearm in his home, which the rapper is prohibited from possessing.
A rep for the Los Angeles city attorney's office told the Times that Way was on probabation after police found a firearm during a 2014 vehicle stop where Way was a passsenger. The two-year probabtion was due to end this month, the Attorney's office rep said.
He is best known for his song hit song “Crank That,” and is currently appearing in the VH1 reality drama “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.” In May, he signed a reported 5-year $400 million endorsement deal with the publicly traded online gambling company World Poker Fund Holdings. – Staff Writers
