THE INTERNET (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — While appearing at a the Bamboozle Festival in Pomona, Sugarcult's set will be reproduced in the virtual world Second Life in a fund-raising effort for Stand Up to poverty that Second Life members are participating in. Digitalized versions of Sugarcult and their instruments will be created for the performance. Stand Up Against Poverty is an nonprofit that works towards reducing global poverty.
Second Life is a virtual community in which players create digital people to interact with one another in a virtual environment. Second Life allows users to take part in a variety of different events and even create real businesses within the context of the virtual world.
Sugarcult won't be the first artist to appear in Second Life. Suzanne Vega appeared in August of this year.
