MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — U2 are taking their their tour south come November, after added a new Australian leg to their itinerary.
Dates have been announced for Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and include U2's first Perth date since their Popmart tour, way back in the dark days of 1998.
The tour will be produced by Live Nation Global Touring in association with Michael Coppel Presents, through the promoter's new Australian operation, which just opened last April under Luke Hede.
Joining U2 on their Australian outing will be another Live Nation 360 artist, Jay-Z. The last time Jay-Z hit Australia was in 2006 and this will mark the performer's first voyage to New Zealand.
Tickets for the U2 performances in Australia and New Zealand will go on sale Friday, September 3rd at all usual outlets. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
