UPDATE: American Music Awards Big Winners

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) –- It was a big night for music awards last night at the AMA’s. The biggest night was had by One Direction who won artist of the year for the second year in a row. Other big winners of the night were Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift who all took home multiple awards.

Jennifer Lopez opened the night with a medley of the nominated songs of the evening and the most talked about portion was the make out session between Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, after a performance of their hit song “Marvin Gaye.” The two have let it be known they are just friends but were hoping the song would get everyone in the mood to kiss.

Justin Bieber was not left out of the performance line up or the list of winners. The revived pop star closed the evening with a medley of his new songs ending with ‘Sorry’ which coincided with a downpour on stage. His win was for Collaboration Of The Year with Skrillex & Diplo and their song “Where Are Ü Now”
