MARYLAND HEIGHTS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Effective immediately, the UMB Bank Pavilion in Missouri will have a new moniker, The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
The agreement, which was announced Wednesday, will give Verizon naming rights for the outdoor venue. A valuation for the agreement was not publically disclosed. This will increase the number of Verizon-branded concert venues around the nation to nine. Live Nation, the nations largest concert promoter, currently handles booking for the amphitheater, which caters to Summer concerts.
In recent years, Verizon has been increasing its profile in the music world, trying to create interactive music experiences through electronic delivery on their phone and data networks, with products such as ring tones and music video broadcasts and associating their corporate image with live music outlets such as this amphitheater. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
