PUYALLUP, WA (CelebrityAccess) — After a 30-year career, veteran Washington State Fair public relations counsel Karen J. LaFlamme has announced that she is retiring, effective June 9th.
Stepping into the role vacated by LaFlamme, will be public relations manager Stacey Howard.
In an email announcing her retirement, LaFlamme said that she is looking forward to spending more time with her husband and enjoying a more relaxed lifestyle.
The transition occurs as the Washington State Fair is expanding from 17 to 21 days, running this year from Friday of Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2, through Sept. 25th. Performers booked for the fair this year include Smash Mouth, Kid Rock w/ Uncle Kracker, Flo Rida, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Charlie Wilson, Gavin DeGraw & Andy Grammer and Dnce with special guest Lunchmoney Lewis. – Staff Writers
