Brit Awards To Stay At Earls Court

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Despite an article in The Guardian detailing rumors that The Brit Awards would soon move into the AEG-owned and operated O2 Millennium Dome, it appears that Earls Court will keep the rock honors shows within its halls for yet another year.

A press release from EC&O Venues, owners of London facilities Earls Court One and Two as well as The Olympia, said that the awards show will be moving into Earls Court One, “making the UK’s largest indoor live music arena the new home for the UK’s greatest live music event.”

The release also mentioned that the hugely successful Give It a Name festival will be moving to Earls Court One, showcasing up and coming rock bands as well as top name acts on April 29 and 30th.

“We have been privileged to be the hosts of some of the best live acts in the world at Earls Court in 2005, and it proves we have a world class venue right in the centre of London,” EC&O Venues CEO Anthony Lyons said in the statement. “It was a truly magnificent year, but we are even more excited about 2006, and are committed to making it another fantastic year for live music at Earls Court.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
