TUNBRIDGE WELLS, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Singer-songwriters Iron & Wine and Passenger have been announced as the first headliners for the debut of a new American and country music festival for the UK.
The inaugural edition of the Black Deer festival is set to take place at Eridge Park near Tunbridge Wells in East Sussex from June 22nd through June 24th.
Other artists on the bill for the fest’s debut include Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, country duo Ward Thomas, Eric Bibb, John Moreland, Juanita Stein, William the Conqueror, CC Smugglers and Darren Eedens & The Slim Pickins, with more TBA.
“Having been in the music industry for many years, producing events for other people, I am proud to finally take a giant step to having a festival of my own,” Black Deer promoter and founder Gill Tee said.
“Set in a beautiful part of the world, that I know and love, with a genre of music that holds so many memories for me, is really exciting as well as extremely challenging.”
Along with music, the festival will offer many creature comforts Americans might be familiar with, including smokehouse BBQ, craft beer, custom motorcycles, whiskey tasting and other such events.
