LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Mac Miller is facing charges for driving under the influence after he suffered a car accident in Los Angeles last May.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles City Attorney has charged Miller with one count of driving under the influence and a second count of operating a vehicle with a BAC above 0.08.

However, he avoided a more serious hit and run charge which he was originally booked for after the May 17th crash, TMZ said.

Law enforcement officials located Miller at his home after discovering his 2016 G-Wagon crashed into a utility pole. Miller admitted to being at the wheel at the time of the crash, and his breathalyzer indicated he was still nearly two times the legal limit hours after the crash, TMZ reported.

If convicted on the charges, Miller could face a fine of $1,000 and up to six months in jail, though, as a first time offender, would likely face a license suspension and probation instead.

Miller is currently preparing for his upcoming “Swimming Tour” which kicks off in October with support from Thundercat and  J.I.D.
