MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess) — Aussie label Flightless Records announced they have sealed a new exclusive label and distribution partnership for North America with ATO Records.
The deal includes catalogue releases from a number of Australian artists, including Australian psychedelic rock icons King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and new releases from Australian bands Amyl and the Sniffers and ORB.
The partnership will debut with the launch of a new album from Australian guitar rock band ORB. The Space Between is already out in digital formats and will receive a physical release on October 26, 2018.
The Melbourne-based Flightless was launched in 2012 by Eric Moore, the drummer, and manager of King Gizzard and it originally shipped the band’s early LPs in pizza boxes.
Since then, the label has gone on to sign artists such as The Murlocs, ORB, The Babe Rainbow, Stonefield, Amyl & The Sniffers, Leah Senior & Pipe-Eye.
The labels also revealed that the newly-signed Melbourne punk rock group Amyl and the Sniffers were preparing for a tour of the U.S. and the UK.
