ROCK HILL, S.C. (CelebrityAccess) A woman in Rock Hill, S.C., told police that her sister lost $160,000 in a social media scam involving a Dierks Bentley impostor.
The woman apparently had been sending cashier’s checks and gift cards to the person, according to an incident report.
The woman told police that she met the suspect through Twitter and exchanged text messages, according to the Herald of Rock Hill. It is not clear what motivated the woman to send the impostor money.
