(CelebrityAccess) – Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed rising British pop star HRVY to an exclusive worldwide publishing deal.
The 19-year-old, whose 2017 debut EP Holiday reached No.2 on the iTunes album chart and No.1 on the Spotify Viral Chart, has already collaborated with UMPG writers Redfoo, Stylo G, and Jin Jin.
With a substantial international fan base in place (3.9m Instagram followers, 1.8m YouTube subscribers and 1m Facebook followers), he’s also secured a handful of hits including “Personal” (which racked up over 180 million YouTube views), the Latin-influenced “Hasta Luego” (which features Cuban-American pop star Malu Trevejo), and his latest single “I Wish You Were Here.”
Earlier this year, HRVY supported The Vamps on their arena tour and hit the road on his own sell-out tour of the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Commenting on the singer’s success thus far, UMPG UK MD Mike McCormack said: “HRVY is a superstar in the making. He’s hardworking and totally charming with real musical talent. We are so happy that he and his manager Blair chose to partner with us on his journey to world domination in 2019 and we look forward to getting our best writers involved to help along the way.”
HRVY added: “I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to work with the team at UMPG. I can’t wait to work with the team on more music, it’s a really exciting time for me right now, the future feels exciting.”
