LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) As MoviePass slowly fades into the sunset, Regal Cinemas is introducing its unlimited ticket subscription program.
Regal is expected to launch the program by the end of the month, according to Deadline Hollywood, and will have three tiers of pricing at approximately $18, $21 and $24 per month, each granting access to unlimited movie tickets. The difference involves how mobile the user is, with one tier allowing access to Regal theatres across the country while another more locally based.
There are also 10 percent cash reductions on concessions for each tier and there is the possibility the ticket will need to be paid annually, working out to $288, $252 and $216.
It’s not clear if the ticket will include premium venues like Imax and Dolby 3D, according to Deadline.
The system is reportedly based off of CineWorld’s Unlimited in the UK, which has been running smoothly for a decade.
