STOCKHOLM, Sweden (CelebrityAccess) – German concert promoter FKP Scorpio’s Swedish division FKP Scorpio Sverige announced the acquisition of Swedish promoter Woah Dad Live.
Following the acquisition, Woah Dad Live’s execs Niklas Lundell and Joel Borg have joined FKP Scorpio Sverige as shareholders and will serve as board members for FKP Scorpio Sverige.
According to FKP, the companies will jointly produce and present all future events but will continue to operate as independent entities.
“FKP Scorpio has a stable backbone and a well-organized structure that will be perfect for us now when growing and taking more ground over here. We’ll bring new ideas and many years of experience in the Scandinavian market into our partnership”, said Woah Dad managing director Niklas Lundell.
FKP Scorpio executive director adds: “We have been working with Woah Dad Live before and are proud of what we have achieved and accomplished. We want to be the best partner for our artists and for the fans. The expertise in our teams when it comes to the Scandinavian market will help us to reach this goal. We have a lot to look forward to and are happy to welcome new members to the FKP Scorpio family,” added FKP Scorpio boss Folkert Koopmans.
The new partnership hit the ground running and have already teamed up for artist Håkan Hellström’s record-breaking four-night run at Ullevi Stadium, of which saw 70,000 tickets for each show sell in hours.
The partnership also teamed up to bring Rammstein to Sweden for two stadium shows as well as a concert by Iceland’s favorite daughter Björk.
