(CelebrityAccess) — The launch of Disney’s new video-on-demand streaming service Disney+ on Tuesday was marred by technical glitches.
After launch, users began reporting problems using features on the service, or accessing features entirely, including logging in, signing up and streaming content.
Other users reported being able to purchase the service on their computer but were unable to launch the service on internet-connected televisions.
Following user reports of technical issues, Disney issued a statement to the Hollywood Reporter: “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”
The problems appeared to taper off as the day progressed.
Disney+ launched in three markets — the US, Canada, and the Netherland on Tuesday, with plans to launch in Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico later this month.
