NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – Last week, news broke that Kid Rock had slammed Oprah Winfrey during a drunken tirade at his bar the Big Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville, TN.
According to video obtained by TMZ, the 48-year-old musician whose real name Robert James Ritchie, got on stage and yelled into a microphone saying: “F— Oprah. Oprah Winfrey is like ‘Hey, I just want women to believe in this sh–‘. F— her. She can s— d— sideways. And if you say that, people say, ‘Hey, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock’s a racist.’ I’m, like, ‘OK, fine’. F— off’,” he added before also taking aim at “The View” co-host Joy Behar.
After the video went viral spurring on a great deal of backlash online, Kid Rock released a statement on his Facebook page just before 5 p.m. Friday, which read:
“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show????? I said f*** that and her. End of story.
