CHESHIRE, UK (CelebrityAccess) – Warner Music has announced the appointment of Darina Connolly as the new general manager of Rhino UK. Connolly, who was most recently head of music partnerships at TikTok, will report directly to Dirk Ewald, Warner Music’s Senior Vice President (SVP) of global catalog, and have a dotted reporting line to Isabel Garvey, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Warner Music UK.
In her new role, Connolly will oversee marketing efforts for Rhino UK’s legendary artists, including David Bowie, Enya, Fleetwood Mac, Joy Division, Madonna, Prince, and Tina Turner. Connolly’s diverse background in the music industry includes key roles at Apple Music, Sony Music, and MTV, working with major acts such as AC/DC, Foo Fighters, and Kings of Leon.
She has been a champion of LGBTQIA+ representation throughout her career, launching initiatives like Apple Music’s Elevate and the #queersounds campaign at TikTok. Connolly expressed her excitement about joining Rhino UK, stating, “Rhino UK is home to some of the most recognized songs and successful artists ever… I hope to help create more opportunities that will breathe new life into our iconic songs.”
Ewald emphasized the significance of catalog music for Warner, while Isabel Garvey praised Connolly’s leadership and expertise, which will help bring Rhino’s legendary artists to new audiences.
Tom Gallacher, who has been with Rhino UK for the last decade, has left the company to relocate to Scotland with his family.
