LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — As Los Angeles grapples with multiple devastating wildfires on Wednesday, numerous events across music, film, and television have been impacted by the unfolding disaster.

Amid high winds that at times reached hurricane strength, multiple fires have broken out in the Los Angeles region, including a large blaze in Pacific Palisades that swept over the neighborhood, burning homes, schools, and businesses. Additionally, firefighters are battling large, wind-driven fires in Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley.

In total, at least 5 people have lost their lives and more than 1,100 structures have been destroyed in the fires, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The list of postponed or canceled events include:

The Critics Choice Awards ceremony, which was originally planned for January 12th has been rescheduled for January 26th. The rescheduled event will remain at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and will broadcast live on E! and around the world. It will also be available on Peacock the next day.

The Venice West canceled its weekly open mic night along with performances from Johnny Marfa and The Lights, Ginger Merkin & The Potential Suitors out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of fans and artists.

At the Intuit Dome, a performance by rapper Rod Wave with support from Toosii and Moneybagg Yo was canceled.

Deadline Hollywood reported that the American Film Institute’s Awards Luncheon, scheduled for the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, has been canceled. The BAFTA Tea on Saturday at the Four Seasons has also been canceled, Deadline reported.

Billboard reported that multiple film premieres and screenings have also been impacted, including an event celebrating the music of the award-winning film Emilia Perez, a screening and dinner for A Complete Unknown, and the American Cinematheque Tribute to the Crafts.

The fire also caused the cancellation of the live event announcing the nominations for the 31st annual SAG Award Nominations.

“Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our presenters, guests, and staff, the live in-person 31st annual SAG Awards nominations announcement has been cancelled due to the wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles.” SAG-AFTRA announced.
