A Phishy Summer Fest For Upstate New York


WATKINS GLEN, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — After weeks of rumors, Phish has confirmed that they will stage their Super Ball IX festival at Watkins Glen International from July 1st-3rd. Super Ball IX will mark Phish's first-ever festival performance over July 4 weekend, and the first major music festival held at Watkins Glen since 1973's legendary Summer Jam.

The band intends to play numerous sets over the course of the weekend and the festival site will offer amenities such as camping and other attractions but as of yet, few details about said amenities or additional artists on the events' lineup have been announced.

3-day passes to the festival are priced at $200 (plus fees) and will include an Mp3 download of the entire performance. Tickets go onsale April 4th from musictoday.com.

The festival will conclude Phish's summer tour, which is set to kick off at with a three night stand Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (In Bethel, NY) on Memorial Day weekend.
